MAGIC
Below is a list of magical specialties. Any person may be adept in no more than four fields of magic.
TRANSFORMATION
The user may change their appearance in any way, shape, or form. They may change to look younger or older or of a different gender or to resemble another real person. They are also able to change the appearances of other living things, although, a bird turned into a human will still have the mind of a bird. This magic is performed with the administration of a potion.
DIVINATION
The user can know things. They have premonitions of what is about to happen in the near or distant future. Divination requires a ceremony, such as looking into a crystal ball, tarot cards, or tossing a collection of stones.
WHISPERING
Whispering is the ability to speak to animals and understand them. It is accompanied by an affinity with wild creatures, as well as with plants and trees. Those with the ability to whisper are often vegetarian, but there are a few exceptions.
ILLUSION
Illusionists can create images out of thin air, tricking the perceptions of others. They have the ability to manipulate light, shadows, and sound. Unlike transformation, illusionists must chant special incantations for their magic to take affect.
ELEMENTAL MANIPULATION
Although the user cannot create fire, ice, wind, earth, etc, they can manipulate them and make them grow in size or strength.
ANIMATION
Users that are adept in animation can bring inanimate objects to life. The new life-force in these objects is usually accompanied by a strong personality.
CURSING
Users can caste hexes on those they dislike either by brewing a potion with a piece of something related to their victim, or torturing a mandragora root bound that individual. Cursing can cause all kinds of horrible things to happen to a person - whatever the spell entails.
OTHER
If there is another ability you wish your character to possess, so long as you explain its extent in the application process, it will be accepted.
All races are capable of practicing magic. You may play any breed of magical being your heart desires.
